As of March 20th, Springtime is officially upon us. During this time of year, the city of Whistler goes through a spectacular transformation.

The white mountain snow lingers under the warm Spring sunshine providing last minute mountain seekers a slush-filled playground and if they’re lucky, maybe a final sprinkle of fresh powder. In the valley below, signs of new life begin to take bloom giving Whistler visitors and locals a little taste of an adventure filled Summer ahead.

Whether you’re in Whistler for an action-packed weekend or a relaxing leisure getaway, this world-renowned northern gem has the best of both worlds.

Enjoy a Classic Whistler Village Experience:

The mountain village with a vibe. Within moments of arriving in Whistler Village you are immediately immersed in the West Coast mountain culture. Nestled at the base of Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains it’s obvious that this resort village is unlike anything you have ever experienced. Divided into three large quadrants – Village Centre, Village North, and the Upper Village, it’s easy to spend an entire day exploring and becoming familiar with the unique surroundings. If you’re staying at the Fairmont Chateau be sure to take advantage of their fully functioning deluxe spa (Vida Spa) or swing by the Westin for a quick workout and steam at their fitness studio.

If you find yourself at the top of Whistler enjoy a classic fine dining experience at Christine’s on Blackcomb. Panoramic views of the surrounding glacier mountains and a uniquely diverse wine list will make wanting to leave a bit of a challenge. After descending through the clouds and bringing yourself back to sea-level there are countless sun-kissed patios throughout the village ideal for happy hour and people watching. The local watering hole Longhorn Saloon provides a classic Whistler Après Ski experience. Located just steps away from Whistler Mountain it’s an easy transition from bikes or boards to beer. No matter what season, this place is perfect for any reason to celebrate.  In need of a caffeine boost for the busy morning of exploring or recovering from the night before? Swing by Mount Currie Coffee Shop for a handcrafted latte and breakfast sandwich or stop by Pure Bread for a sweet treat (the table-top display of decadence is worth a visit alone!).
